Frequently asked questions
For developers
Will this get my app approved for production on Google Play?
No one outside Google can promise that. Google decides on production access and may ask for more testing based on its own assessment. We run a genuine closed test and document it accurately.
Are you affiliated with Google?
No. Project Play X is an independent service and is not endorsed by or operated by Google.
Why 14 testers if the requirement is 12?
Where the requirement applies, at least 12 testers must stay opted in for 14 days in a row. Recruiting 14 gives a buffer if someone withdraws. When a tester drops out, their slot reopens for a replacement.
Can you see whether testers are opted in on Google Play?
Not automatically. Testers submit evidence and an administrator reviews it. Your dashboard shows which opt-ins are self-reported and which are admin-verified.
Will testers leave reviews or ratings on my store listing?
No. We never ask testers for public reviews. Ratings in our feedback forms are private and only appear in your report.
Can I see who the testers are?
You see testers as pseudonyms (Tester 01, Tester 02…). Their contact and payout details stay private.
What if the campaign falls short?
The report states the result plainly, including how many testers completed an uninterrupted period. [MAKE-GOOD POLICY]
For testers
How do I become a tester?
Testing is invitation-only during the pilot. If you received an invitation link, follow it to create your account. Then choose apps to test from the catalogue — each one has a Google test group you join with one click.
How much do I earn?
The reward is shown on each app, currently ₹35 per campaign, once you meet the participation requirements. Rewards never depend on whether your feedback is positive.
Can I stop testing?
Yes. Use “Withdraw” on the test. Tell us if something went wrong so we can fix it.
